As of June of 2005, only 26 other practices in the world have started more cases using Invisalign®. Many of these practices have more than one doctor, so in fact, few individuals have more experience with the product than myself. I am a consultant for Invisalign® Consulting Services, a division that educates other Invisalign practitioners. I also lecture around the country on the topic of Invisalign®.

I can tell you with certainty, based on hundreds of cases, that Invisalign® works. However, expertise with the appliance is critical in many situations. Some cases that seem minor are not suited for Invisalign®, and for other seemingly complex cases, Invisalign® is even more effective than traditional braces. This judgment is based on experience with the product. In addition, if your teeth are not responding, the practitioner needs to know how to react. These pathways are too detailed to mention here, but suffice it to say that Invisalign-based treatment is alien to many otherwise experienced and expert orthodontists.
