I am fortunate to have found orthodontics as a life passion. It is a uniquely rewarding profession, and it suits my skills as a practitioner. A good orthodontist must combine several innate attributes: a keen eye for angles and small details, the ability to build special relationships, patience, and strong listening and communicate skills - and of course, the ability to straighten a smile!

Educational Foundation

Before becoming an orthodontist, I received my general dentistry education from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. I practiced general dentistry for two years, and was accepted into the orthodontic specialty program at Montefiore/Albert Einstein, a small, yet highly regarded residency for orthodontists. In 1994, I established my Riverdale and Manhattan practices where I am honored to serve so many smiles each year!

A Commitment to Continuing Education

At age 46 (as of January, 2010), I consider myself neither new to orthodontics, yet not outdated. In order to stay current with the treatments I offer, I stay involved in continuing education and am a member of several professional and educational associations and study clubs. In 2005, I became president of our local chapter of the American Dental Association. I am certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, which is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists.

I have had the incredible opportunity to train around 1,000 practitioners on using Invisalign®, and I’ve spoken at several local study clubs. I serve a consultant and faculty member for Align Technology (makers of Invisalign), helping other doctors around the country bring invisible braces technology into their practices.

It is both an honor, and my pleasure, to work with you and your family. I look forward to offering the best quality orthodontic care, and giving you the smile you’ve always dreamed of having.

Always smiling…even outside of the practice!

To stay relatively fit, I am an avid basketball player, golfer, and former runner of several marathons. Although I grew up addicted to television, my new love is reading! I often read 2-3 books at once; and, I particularly fond of modern fiction, classics, non-fiction, and technical manuals such as Orthodontics for Dummies. I am also a major sports fanatic, always cheering
